Robots en Route at Brodie!

10:30 AM to 12:00 PM | Join the Science North Bluecoats for a fun adventure in coding and robotics at Brodie Library! This brand new platform is geared for youth aged 7-12 years old, who are interested in exploring the exciting science of robotics. Over the course of the day, our skilled staff will be focusing on coding and programming and your young engineers will love having the chance to build, program and play with their very own robot. Ages 7-12, registration required. Registration opens Thursday, July 5.

This brand new platform is geared for youth aged 7-12 years old, who are interested in exploring the exciting science of robotics. Over the course of the day, our skilled staff will be focusing on coding and programming and your young engineers will love having the chance to build, program and play with their very own robot. Ages 7-12, registration required. Registration opens Thursday, July 5.

Readers Are Leaders

5:30 PM to 6:30 PM | REGISTER AS A READER OR VOLUNTEER FOR THIS PROGRAM ONLINE, BY PHONE, OR IN PERSON AT ANY BRANCH. Children from grades 1, 2 or 3 are matched with volunteer partners from the community for reading practice. A volunteer will read with your child one-on-one during a one-hour session weekly from Jul 5 – Aug 23 to help build their confidence reading. By registering for this program, you are committing to bringing the registered child to each session so that the child may derive maximum benefit from the program, and that you will contact the library if they are unable to attend a session to avoid inconveniencing the child's volunteer reading partner. Participation in the program is subject to the availability of volunteer reading partners. Please note: Parents or caregivers and children MUST attend the first session on July 5 to meet the volunteer, program leaders and library staff.
