Do you need help with your iPad, iPod Touch or other newfangled gadget?  Drop-in to the iHelp program and we'll help!  You'll also learn about all the Library services and collections available online.  For more information contact Joanna at 684-6819 or jaegard@tbpl.ca 


Our internet class line up is designed to take you from basic mousing to Google, Facebook and search tips.  Occasionally we also add some special topic classes.

These free, hands on sessions are 1.5 hours long. Classes are held in the Waverley and Mary J.L. Black Commons Rooms. Enrollment is limited. Pre-register beginning March 19th. Call 684-6815 or register online at www.tbpl.ca/Get Involved/Online Calendar.

Mouse in the House

This class is designed for beginners with little or no skill using a computer mouse. If you have never used a mouse before, you need to take this class before you register for any of the other TBPL Internet classes.

Introduction to the Internet

This course is a general introduction to the Internet for beginners. Use your mouse skills to navigate Web pages and learn the basics of Internet browsers. This class covers basic terminology and basic searching techniques.

Searching Tips and Tricks

This is an intermediate level couse that covers more advanced Google searching, tips and tricks. You must already know how to use a mouse and Internet browser.

Facebook Coach

Do you have questions about Facebook? Call 684-6819 to book your private one-hour session with a Facebook Coach. A variety of dates and times are available.

 

Ancestry LE

Learn how to use the online genealogy resource Ancestry Library Edition (LE). Explore databases and record collections from Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe and Australia. You must know how to use a computer and Internet browser to register for this class.
