Interlibrary Loan

How does it work?

If you cannot find what you are looking for in any of the TBPL library branches, we may be able to borrow it for you from other lending institutions in Canada through our Interlibrary Loan (ILLO) service. There is no charge for this service, and patrons should allow 2-6 weeks for materials to be shipped.

What can be borrowed?

You can make requests for the following items:

Please note that books must be older than six months from publication date to be eligible for Interlibrary Loan services.

How can I request an item?

Follow the links above to fill out the ILLO form here on our website for the particular item you are looking for. Alternatively, you may also call (807) 345-8275 to make your request, or fill out a form at any Library location. If you have any questions, please email us at illo@tbpl.ca

How do I return an Interlibrary Loan?

Books from Interlibrary Loan must be returned in person to a branch during open hours.
