Talk to Me, directed by Danny Philippou and Michael Philippou, is a horror movie about a group of friends that includes two siblings and a close friend, along with a couple of others. They communicate with spirits through a hand-shaped sculpture as a challenge. One of the main characters, named Mia, is still grieving the loss of her mother. The group enjoys the thrill of it all, but of course, it becomes tense after one friend gets hurt, and everything goes wrong because of the many flaws each member of the friend group has.
The movie is extremely tense, suspenseful, and scary. But it does have some comedic moments, which I really enjoyed, because I do love it when horror movies have something to break the tension just a little bit. I also found it a little sad and emotional at times, especially with the problems the main characters face, which made me feel really bad and scared.
A couple of major things that I really liked were the conflict between characters and the music spread across the movie; it fit the vibes of each scene well, all while they matched each scenes that they played in. The camera work was also a thing I enjoyed—I am a sucker for good cinematography. This definitely makes me recommend the movie to people who enjoy horror with some crazy storytelling. The ending was amazing; it was the first time I ever got chills from just a few words. 8/10, I would maybe watch it again.
