There are four meeting and programming spaces in Thunder Bay Public Library branches available for free for community not-for-profit use. Fees apply for organizations or individuals intending to charge for registration or to use the space for commercial activities. Library spaces are not available for birthday parties, showers, or other celebrations.

Terms
- Bookings of Library spaces require completion of the Contract for Use of TBPL's Meeting Space.
- Rooms must be left in the condition found (tables/chairs stored, all garbage in receptacles.)
- External groups may request that a smudging ceremony accompany their Library meeting space booking by calling the Director of Community Development at 807-684-6813 or by emailing comments@tbpl.ca. External requests must be made a minimum of one week in advance of the event date. If the indoor designated smudging area is occupied or unavailable during the requested time, staff may recommend a designated outdoor smudging area.
- Space bookings by external groups or individuals are limited to a maximum of once monthly.
- We do not promote non-Library activities taking place in our spaces.
- The Library's logo is not to be used in promotions for non-Library activities.

The fees listed above provide guidelines for one-off rentals. Longer-term rentals may be negotiated.
