There are several meeting and programming spaces in Thunder Bay Public Library branches available for free for community not-for-profit use.
- Fees apply for organizations or individuals intending to charge for registration or to use the space for commercial activities.
- Library spaces are not available for birthday parties, showers, or other celebrations.

Terms
- Once availability has been confirmed with the bookings team, the Contract for Use of TBPL's Meeting Space must be completed and submitted to the Library.
- Rooms must be left in the condition found (tables/chairs stored, all garbage in receptacles.)
- External groups may request that a smudging ceremony accompany their Library meeting space booking by calling the Director of Community Development at 807-684-6813 or by emailing comments@tbpl.ca. External requests must be made a minimum of one week in advance of the event date. If the indoor designated smudging area is occupied or unavailable during the requested time, staff may recommend a designated outdoor smudging area.
- Space bookings by external groups or individuals are limited to a maximum of once monthly.
- We do not promote non-Library activities taking place in our spaces.
- The Library's logo is not to be used in promotions for non-Library activities.

The fees listed above provide guidelines for one-off rentals. Longer-term rentals may be negotiated.
