1.4 Conflict of Interest

To ensure public confidence and respect for the Library.

This policy applies to all board members, staff members, and volunteers of the Thunder Bay Public Library.

Library Board members, staff and volunteers shall conform to all relevant legislation governing conflict of interest and shall declare interest, or potential interest, whenever a potential or perceived conflict of interest situation arises that could affect them or members of their immediate families. While individuals may be present for discussion of such items, they must disclose any potential conflict of interest and must not participate in these discussions nor vote nor make decisions on the relevant or related matters.
