A Library card is always a winning ticket. This fall, it can also win you a Nintendo Switch 2 or an iPad Air bundle.
How it works
Visit any Thunder Bay Public Library branch between August 1 and September 30 and receive a ballot when you:
- Sign up for a new Library Card (it's free!)
- Renew an existing Library Card
- Check out items from the collection
You'll receive one ballot per visit, no matter how many items you check out. Come back often and earn a new ballot every time. If you sign up or renew and also check out items in the same visit, you'll receive two ballots.
Using the self-checkout? Show your receipt at the main desk to receive your ballot.
The prizes
There are two prize draws:
- A Nintendo Switch 2
- An iPad Air bundle
You choose which draw to enter each time you receive a ballot. Draws take place the first week of October, and winners will be contacted directly.
Where to take part
Ballots are available at all four branches:
- Waverley Library
- Brodie Library
- Mary JL Black Library
- County Park Library
Contest rules
- The contest runs Saturday, August 1 to Tuesday, September 30.
- Ballots must be fully completed to be eligible to win.
- One ballot is issued per visit. Signing up for or renewing a card in the same visit as a checkout earns one additional ballot.
- Thunder Bay Public Library staff and their closely related family members are not eligible to win. Closely related family includes parents, step-parents, grandparents, spouses and common-law spouses, children, step-children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews, and in-laws (mother, father, daughter, son, brother, and sister-in-law).
- Draws will be held the first week of October.
