 My Ratings button

You can now RATE any item in our Catalogue!

Why rate?

  • your opinion is displayed (anonymously) for public view
  • you can keep track of selected items you borrowed, rated by how much you enjoyed them
  • rate things as you run across them for ideas of what to borrow next
  • a great way to review items you really liked (or disliked) and want to remember!

Here's how to rate:

  • log in to "My Library Card"
  • search the catalogue to find the item you'd like to rate
  • you will see 5 stars displayed on the page
  • click on a star -- 1 star is the lowest rating, 5 stars is the highest
  • click on the word Rating for an explanation of each rating
  • when you next see that item in the Catalogue, the rating will display...if you're logged in, you'll see your own star ratings in gold, if you're not logged in, you'll see blue stars.  If more than one person rates an item, the ratings are averaged.
  • If you log in and check your ratings (My Ratings button) in your library account record, you'll see your items displalyed (alphabetically) with their ratings)

You can use this to keep track of the books you read or the DVDs you've watched, or CDs you've listened to.  Only those items you select and rate will be displayed.

Or, use this feature to keep track of books you want to read next.

If you have questions or comments about this feature, please contact us!
