If you’re starting a business, moving your small business out of your home and into a professional setting, or need workspace for an intern or co-op student hub:north might be an ideal place for you. At hub:north we provide qualified businesses with a desk and chair in an open concept working space at the Brodie Resource Library. This location is steps away from the PARO Centre for Women's Enterprise, the Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce, amazing shops, restaurants, cafes, and more.

Is my business a fit?

The businesses that are the best fit for hub:north are ones that can easily operate with only a desk, chair, wifi, cell phone, access to meeting space and can work in a co-working environment. What does it offer?

Designated work spaces

hub:north offers monthly or weekly rentals at very reasonable rates:
$30 per month or $10 per week

- Semi-private workspace
- Use of one standard table and two chairs (or more if other tables are not rented)
- Access to public washrooms
- Day, evening, and weekend access (see below for hours)
- Free Wifi
- Free access to TBPL collections (print and online)
- Free access to knowledgeable and helpful staff

This space is ideally suited to temporary workspace needs for individuals/home based businesses/co-op students/interns. It is also well suited to hold regular group meetings or workshops. If you would like to schedule a time to look at the space and discuss your needs just let us know by calling 624-4203.

Meeting rooms

hub:north has access to both a large and a small meeting room that can be booked for private use.  Please book early to ensure availability as rooms are also bookable by TBPL staff members and the general public.


Business Resources

Available resources include printers, computers, scanning and photocopier.

Business advisors

Business advisors from the Entrepreneurship Centre and the Community Economic Development Commission (CEDC) will be on location as needed and will be available to assist you with your business needs.

When is hub:north open?

Monday – Wednesday 10:00 am until 9:00 pm

Thursday – Saturday 10:00 am until 5:00 pm

Sunday 1:00pm until 5:00pm

*Reduced summer hours will take effect on June 25, 2018
