Donate Online

You may now make an on-line donation to the Thunder Bay Public Library!

The Thunder Bay Public Library gratefully accepts donations in order to add new materials to your library collections.  You may choose to donate to the Community Partners program (an annual, individual giving program) or the Memorial Fund, which honours friends or loved ones who have passed away - or our In Honour program, which celebrates milestones like birthdays, anniversaries or special occasions.

To make an on-line donation, please click on the Donate Now button below. The Library utilizes CanadaHelps.org, a not-for-profit charity portal, to facilitate on-line donations.

All cash donations made to the Library are tax deductible. The Library is a registered not-for-profit organzation, with a registered charitable number.  Tax receipts are mailed to donors unless donations are made online.

What is CanadaHelps.org?
CanadaHelps.org (CHO) is a not-for-profit charity portal that serves as an information resource about charities in Canada and seeks to promote and facilitate philanthropy through online giving.

Are donations made on the site tax-deductible?
Yes. Donations made through the CanadaHelps.org website are treated by the Canadian Customs and Revenue Agency (CCRA) in the same way as regular donations.  Tax receipts are issued online, to an email address, which is required.
