Wit Knits

1:30 PM to 3:00 PM | Whether you're new to knitting or experienced, you are welcome to join Wit Knits, a group that gets together to knit (or crochet). Along with knitting, share stories and laughs with fellow group members. This program is offered in partnership with Recreation and Culture Division.

Readers are Leaders

5:30 PM to 6:30 PM | REGISTER FOR THIS PROGRAM ONLINE, BY PHONE, OR IN PERSON AT ANY BRANCH. Children from grades 1, 2 or 3 are matched with volunteer partners from the community for reading practice. They are trained to work with your child one-on-one during a one-hour session weekly from Jan 16 to Mar 8. By registering for this program, you are committing to bringing the registered child to each session so that the child may derive maximum benefit from the program, and that you will contact the library if they are unable to attend a session to avoid inconveniencing the child's volunteer reading partner. Participation in the program is subject to the availability of volunteer reading partners. Please note: Parents or caregivers and children MUST attend the first session on Jan 18 to meet the volunteer, program leaders and library staff.
